Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions outline how I work with clients. By engaging my services, you agree to the following:

1. Scope of Work

I provide professional web development services, including website development (WordPress, WooCommerce, CMS) and web application development (Symfony, PHP/MySQL). The details of each project — including features, deliverables, and responsibilities — will be clearly outlined in a written project proposal or agreement.

2. Timeline

Project timelines will be agreed upon before work begins. Client feedback and approvals are expected within two weeks of delivery to avoid delays. Any adjustments to the timeline will be communicated promptly.

3. Payment Terms

  • My current rate is $100 USD per hour, billed in half-hour increments.
  • A 50% deposit is required to begin work, with the remaining balance due upon completion.
  • For smaller projects (under $500), full payment is required upfront.
  • Late payments may incur a 5% fee per month on outstanding balances.

4. Ownership & Intellectual Property

  • Once the project is fully paid, the final website or application belongs to you (the client).
  • I retain the right to reuse code snippets, design patterns, and development methods for future projects.

5. Revisions

Each project includes up to three rounds of revisions. Revisions beyond this limit, or requests for new features not included in the original scope, may be billed separately.

6. Communication

  • Project communication will be handled primarily via email for clarity and record-keeping.
  • Calls or Zoom meetings can be arranged for additional discussions.
  • For custom web applications, in-person or extended meetings may be specified in the agreement.

7. Confidentiality

I respect client confidentiality. Any sensitive information or proprietary data shared during a project will not be disclosed. A separate Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) can be signed if required.

8. How I Work

I collaborate on a contract and project basis.

  • For agencies: I typically handle assigned tasks or full backend projects as a technical partner.
  • For clients: I manage the entire technical side — from setup to delivery — so you can focus on your business while I handle the technology.

I do not engage in full-time employment arrangements.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement with written notice:

  • 10 days for WordPress projects
  • 30 days for custom web applications

In case of termination, any completed work up to that date will be billed and is non-refundable.

10. Liability

  • I follow best practices, including backups, security, and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1).
  • Once you or your team begin editing site content, responsibility for compliance and accuracy of that content rests with you.
  • I am not liable for issues caused by third-party plugins, external software, or unauthorized modifications after project delivery.

11. Force Majeure

Neither party will be held responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond their control (such as natural disasters, internet outages, or service provider failures).

12. Legal Jurisdiction

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts of Williamson County, Texas.

13. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises, both parties agree to attempt to resolve it through good-faith discussion or mediation before pursuing arbitration.
